ONLINE STORE - psikhouvanjou

After the UK bank holiday I thought I would return with some fun design items from Dutch company Psikhouvanjou. This fun, colourful design led store work with many designers you will recognise such as Helen Dardik, Ingela P Arrhenius, Suzy Ultman, Darling Clementine and many more. Here I have picked out some postcards, art prints, and accessories that were all spotted on the Psikhouvanjou website where they do ship worldwide.

CARDS - rosalind maroney

These cute cards are by designer Rosalind Maroney and were created for her Etsy Shop. Rosalind is also busy freelancing, and working on her first children's book commissions alongside her usual product work. She was especially excited about getting some of her own work in her own name out there with these cards!. Find them online here.

NOTICEBOARD

Two notices came in to P&P last week - one was from the Glasgow School of Art (above) regarding their shop. They are holding an open call out for new products designed by current students, practicing staff, recent graduates and established alumni of the School. Printed textiles are always popular so they are keen to reach out to former graduates of the school, new and old, far and wide! Also getting in touch was Laura Slater (below) who has just been nominated for the Etsy Awards 2016 under New Talent for her 'Assemble/Configure' range. The awards hosts a huge amount of amazing prizes, the top prize being £10,000 in business development, which Laura says would have an "unimaginable impact on developing my design studio". The prizes are given on a voting basis and if you like her work you can vote for Laura online here.

STORE SNAPS - vintage mischief

For today's Friday eye candy we have some snapshots from a vintage store in Suffolk. Last month I went to a David Bowie show in Norwich and one the way home popped quickly into a shop called 'Vintage Mischief' in Beccles. The store is spread over several barns and outbuildings and features everything from retro and vintage furniture, fashion and wallpaper, to kitchenware, fabrics, and tea towels. If you love mid century design or 1970's retro I can thoroughly recommend a visit to this shop which is run by a friendly couple with a love of art and design. You can see more of what they are up to and their latest arrivals online here.
